Lorca Deportiva Club de Fútbol, S.A.D. is a Spanish football league teams formed in 2002 and based in Lorca, region of Murcia. They play their home matches in the Francisco Artés Carrasco Stadium, which seats 8,000 spectators. Currently they compete in the Segunda División B, the Spanish football league system of Spanish football. In the season 2008–09 they finished 2nd in the Group 2 of Segunda División B.

History

Lorca Deportiva Club de Futbol was founded in 2002, right after the defunction of Lorca CF which had been founded in 1994. The new club started from Tercera División and they were promoted to Segunda División B at the first season.

In their rookie season as Segunda División B contenders, they qualified for the play-offs after occupying the second place in the regular season. Next season they finished fourth, but this time they managed to qualify for the Segunda División. With Unai Emery in the position of Coach (sport), Lorca missed a new promotion to La Liga in details. But Emery departed for UD Almería next season, followed by a lot of first-team players who signed for other clubs. As a result, Lorca was relegated to Segunda División B where they currently play.
