FC Daugava (before 2007:
FC Ditton) is a former Latvian football club from the city of Daugavpils. In 2007 they renamed from
FC Ditton to
FC Daugava.
Following a 2008 season in which they won the Latvian Football Cup, Daugava merged with the city's other main club, Dinaburg FC, with the merged club retaining the Dinaburg name. Dinaburg also inherited Daugava's place in the UEFA Europa League 2009–10.
History
- 2001: Reestablished as
FC Ditton Daugavpils.
- 2007: Renamed as
FC Daugava Daugavpils.
- 2008: Won Latvian Football Cup 2008. After the season, merged with Dinaburg FC, with Dinaburg retaining its name.
